ചെന്നൈ: നിയമസഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ പാർട്ടിയുടെ ദയനീയ പ്രകടനത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് തമിഴ്നാട് കോൺഗ്രസ് അധ്യക്ഷൻ ഇ.വി.കെ.എസ്. ഇളങ്കോവൻ രാജിവച്ചു. തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് ഫലത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് ജൂൺ 15ന് ഇളങ്കോവൻ രാജിക്കത്ത് നല്കിയിരുന്നതായി പാർട്ടി ഭാരവാഹി ശിവരാമൻ അറിയിച്ചു. ഡിഎംകെ സഖ്യത്തിൽ 41 സീറ്റിൽ മത്സരിച്ച കോൺഗ്രസ് എട്ടു സീറ്റിൽ മാത്രമാണ് വിജയിച്ചത്.
